James Bennett is the Senior Partner for Aston Currency Management.

James has extensive experience providing financial advice in many challenging environments and locations around the world. A business and languages graduate from Edinburgh University, he is a keen surfer and enjoys country pursuits and cooking.

Jay Goss is the Chief Operating Officer for Aston Currency Management

An economics graduate from Edinburgh University, Jay is a former Royal Marine Officer with a passion for ultra-distance racing. He has completed 150 mile foot races in the Sahara, Arctic and Amazon.  He is the 7th person in the world to complete a continuous ultra-triathlon, the Enduroman Arch to Arc, from London to Paris, which included a 90 mile run, swimming the Channel and cycling 190 miles to Paris. In 2013 he climbed and skied off 3 mountains in Greenland which had never previously been ascended nor descended.

Since leaving the Royal Marines, Jay has spent considerable time managing and developing the growing Aston brand around the world.

Robert is a Partner at Aston Currency Management


Robert has a broad range of experience in Private Equity and Venture Capital, including setting up, building and running his own Family Office.  

He has acquired a number of businesses across different sectors to market in India, Africa and Europe. He has a degree in Business Economics from Bristol Business School.

Robert travels extensively throughout the world, visiting clients professionally and socially. He enjoys outdoor pursuits and anything that is fast. Robert lives in London.

Alexander Baker is a Partner at Aston Currency Management.


Alexander brings extensive experience in Private Equity, having worked on transactions throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Nordic Regions and Africa.

He has a degree in Business Decision Analysis from Bristol Business School and an MBA with commendation from Kingston University Business School.

Alexander has expertise in assisting Private Equity and Oil and Gas companies build and manage complex currency strategies.

Alexander enjoys marathons and competed in the Patrouille des Glaciers, a 53km alpine race from Zermatt to Verbier. He enjoys skiing and motorbiking and spends a lot of time in Nigeria. He lives in London with his wife Suzanna.

Liam Alexander is the Commercial and Dealing Director for Aston Currency Management.


Liam is responsible for the overall sales and dealing activities of Aston Currency Management.

He has over 9 years experience in the currency markets, having worked with some of the largest names in the industry, covering all Front Office activities from sales to dealing and trading roles.

He has a particular expertise in how to structure deals in currencies including Brazilian Reais and Chinese Yuan.

Liam graduated with Honours in Business from University in Edinburgh. Outside of work, Liam works with the Msaada charity and has visited Rwanda recently to help with the initiative on the ground and complete a half marathon. He also enjoys playing squash at a competitive level.

David is the Head of Trading for Aston Currency Management


He is responsible for guiding clients through the possible mechanisms of trading,  based on each individual case, including helping clients maximise the value of their currencies by employing risk mitigation, hedging strategies and forward currency planning.

He has worked in all positions from Back Office to Front Office, giving him an excellent understanding and knowledge of how deliverable currency strategies can work for clients.

David studied Classical Civilisation at Nottingham University and in his spare time enjoys playing football and golf.
